Unveiling the Secrets of the 'Lullaby' Quest: A Gamer's Essential Handbook

Embarking on the Melancholy 'Lullaby' Mission in Valor Mortis

The 'Lullaby' side quest emerges midway through Chapter 3 of Valor Mortis. After traversing the Fields Lantern three times and neutralizing the Volunteer near the wagon, you'll arrive at the Marketplace Lantern. From this point, veer left towards the river and enter the adjacent house.

Locating the Origin of the Spectral Lament

Upon entering the house, your immediate objective is to examine the crib within the initial room. This investigation will officially trigger the 'Lullaby' side quest, setting you on a path to bring peace to the distressed spirit of a baby.

The Path to Pacifying the Restless Spirit

To advance in the quest, exit the baby's house through the rear door. Engage and eliminate the two civilian zombies lurking in the backyard. Behind them, you will discover the essential Weathered Key. With this key in your possession, return to the Marketplace Lantern, proceed through the wagon, and turn right.

Navigating the Perilous Journey to the Key Item

Should the Volunteer re-emerge, employ tactical combat by attacking him from within the wagon to minimize your exposure. Alternatively, if you prefer to bypass confrontation entirely, teleport back to the Fields Lantern and follow the route through the hayfields. Beyond this small settlement, skillfully leap across the platforms to reach the opposite bank of the river. The Weathered Key now grants you access to the house situated there.

Bringing Solace: The Final Act of the 'Lullaby' Quest

Once inside, retrieve the toy. With this item in hand, make your way back to the crib where the baby's ghost continues its cries. Placing the toy in the crib will successfully conclude the 'Lullaby' quest in Valor Mortis, rewarding you with 1,500 catalysts and the valuable Tomorrow's Promise amber.
